Mixing an Audio Track
The original audio can be mixed with a recorded or external audio track or even completely replaced by the other audio source. There are two possible methods to add external audio over the existing one:
- Record your own audio by using a microphone attached to your computer
- Select a pre-recorded audio file from your local disk
Recording an Audio Narration
Please note that you must have a working microphone connected to your computer to be able to record audio.
- Open the Audio tab. Notice the Audio Overlay area on the bottom of this tab
- Click on the Record button
- When the recording dialog shows start talking to your microphone. When you're done just click Cancel or wait for the recording time to end
- Optionally you can change the mixing percentage by adjusting the Audio Mix slider. A value of 100% means that the external audio totally replaces the native audio. A value of 50% means that the resulting audio will have both audio tracks mixed in equal percentages
Selecting a Pre-Recorded Audio File
- Open the Audio tab. Notice the Audio Overlay area on the bottom of this tab
- Type or browse for an audio file on Audio File field
- Optionally you can change its mixing percentage by adjusting the Audio Mix slider. A value of 100% means that the external audio totally replaces the native audio. A value of 50% means that the resulting audio will have both audio tracks mixed in equal percentages
