Turbine Video Encoder 4

Audio Settings

The Audio tab controls all the settings related with the audio such as encoding method, volume and many other.

Changing Audio Settings

All the Audio settings can be defined inside the Audio tab shown below:

The following settings can be defined on this area:

Audio Encoding

Selects the type of audio encoding to be performed: "MP3" "MP3 VBR" (a variable bit rate MP3 encoding) or "ADPCM". MP3 is only available if the LAME MP3 encoder is available - if MP3 is not available, audio encoding will fallback to ADPCM.
TVE optionally supports audio encoding inside the generated FLV and Flash movies in MP3 format, by using the external LAME MP3 encoder (http://www.mp3dev.org) in the widely available lame_enc.dll windows implementation. Please note that although TVE is compatible with the third-party LAME MP3 Encoder, it is not part of TVE and is not supported. On some countries, using MP3 audio encoding software might require intellectual property licensing, even when open source implementations like LAME are used.

Sample Rate

This setting defines the rate at which sound samples will be encoded. Smaller values will not be able to encode higher frequencies, creating a poorer final audio.

Bitrate

The bitrate used for encoding. This setting specifies the number of bits per second - the bit rate of the encoded audio. The usual quality/size tradeoff is also present here, as higher bit rates will create better audio quality at the expense of encoded file size.

Master Volume

The output volume level of the audio. It's sometimes necessary to correct the volume level of the original audio track - with this setting you can increase or decrease the audio track's volume level.

Convert Stereo to Mono

Whether to encode in Stereo (2 channels) or Mono (1 channel).

Audio Overlay

The location of an audio file that will be mixed in the current encoding - please see the Audio Track Section for more details. The Record button also allows an audio narration to be recorded as a mix-in track. To remove the current audio file or voice recorded track use the Remove button.

Audio Mix

Use this setting to set the volume proportions between the mixed track and the source audio track.
